Ayers & Cruiks had a fantastic time at the Play on the Pitch charity football match, held at Roots Hall Stadium on 17th May.
In order to raise money for Havens Hospices, local businesses including Barrons Accountancy, BTMK Solicitors, Nairnsey Fisher & Lewis, Paul Robinson Solicitors LLP, Rickard Luckin, Wilkins Kennedy LLP, MWS Chartered Accountants and, of course, Southend United Football Club came together to have a kickabout for a good cause!
Our competition? Team Barclays. By half-time, the professionals were leading 2-1. However, despite the help of ex-Southend united player Adam Barrett on our side, Barclays were too strong for us in the second half, leading to the final score of 6-3 to Barclays.
We are delighted to hear that last month’s Play On The Pitch event raised a fantastic £15,694.75! What’s more, Barclays will be matching this amount, meaning the total raised for Little Havens will be £31,389.50.
We really enjoyed taking part in such a fun event along with many local businesses. Thank you to Barclays for arranging the event and for everyone’s support. We look forward to getting involved in next year’s event!
